Turning Pages, The Grand Rapids Reading Institute is a non-profit tutoring agency specializing in reading and spelling instruction and remediation for individuals with reading disabilities. Tutors create lessons to address their students’ weaknesses working together one-on-one. The multi-sensory (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile) approach used allows students to easily learn and recall information. Students who struggle with traditional methods of reading instruction are able to find success with this phonics based hands-on approach.

Other programs include comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, study skills and basic math.

Turning Pages also seeks to educate the community concerning literacy by making presentations at area organizations, maintaining a reference library, and collaborating with other agencies.
