Turning Pages is a non-profit organization that provides one-on-one tutoring for children and adults, in reading, writing and spelling. We tutor using Orton-Gillingham techniques which are multi-sensory and phonetic. We also work with students to improve their writing and study skill strategies.
Turning Pages also seeks to educate the community concerning literacy by making presentations at area organizations, maintaining a reference library, and collaborating with other agencies. Training classes in the Orton-Gillingham method are offered periodically.
The vision of Turning Pages is to effectively reach the needs of individuals with reading disabilities in order to improve their self-esteem, productivity and marketability in the job force.
