Turning Pages is a non-profit organization that provides one-on-one tutoring for children and adults, in reading, writing and spelling. We tutor using the Orton-Gillingham approach which is multi-sensory and phonetic. We also provide trainings for parents and teachers in this approach, so they may create effective lessons for their home-schooled children or for the students in their classrooms.
Turning Pages also seeks to bring awareness to reading disabilities such as dyslexia by making presentations at area organizations, participating in a monthly support group for parents, maintaining a resource library, and collaborating with other agencies and schools.
The vision of Turning Pages is to effectively reach the needs of individuals of all ages with reading difficulties in order to improve their skills, self-esteem and productivity in the classroom and beyond.
